Collection: African cichlids - Mbuna

"Mbuna" means "rockfish" in the Tonga language, accurately describing their preference for rocky shorelines.

Highly territorial and boisterous, often engaging in digging and rearranging their environment.

Heavy rockwork with numerous caves and tunnels is essential to provide hiding spots and reduce aggression.

Primarily herbivores/omnivores, requiring a diet that includes algae-based flakes, pellets, and sometimes frozen foods.
