Collection: LIVEBEARERS

Livebearers are popular, hardy and colorful freshwater aquarium fish from the Poecillidae family (including guppies, mollies, platies and swordtails) that give birth to fully formed, free-swimming young rather than laying eggs. They feature internal fertilization, with males using a modified anal fin called a gonopodium to fertilize eggs that hatch inside the female over 3-4 weeks.

They are generally omnivorous and will accept flakes, pellets, and frozen foods.

Most are peaceful but active, often better kept in groups with more females than males to reduce mating harassment.
